Working With Child 1st Day Nurseries

The Child 1st Nursery Group is a small family nursery chain based in Birmingham, Bakewell, and Stoke-on-Trent. Our 4 nurseries cater for a total of 376 children. Child 1st was initially established in 1999 and has expanded over the years. Our outstanding nursery care will provide all children with an excellent start into their school life. Furthermore, our children learn through purposeful play promoting their development of creativity, individuality and, self-confidence. We work in partnership with parents to provide the highest standards of nursery care.

​Freshly cooked food every day is what you can expect at Child 1st Day Nurseries and, all our food locally sourced from Butchers and Green Grocers. We understand children are all individuals, therefore, all diets catered for. We have a very large outdoor area with plenty of outside activities. The Child 1st team actively encourages outside learning and play. Also, we offer the following free extras: Forest School, Music and Yoga.

Frequent room meetings and staff meetings enable our team to plan activities suitable to the children in their care, paying particular attention to the individual needs of each child. Our excellent hygiene standards throughout the nursery keep babies and children healthy and safe.

We offer work placements for various qualifications in Early Years. Whether you are retraining after a career change, moved to the UK from abroad, or simply continuing your education at college, we’re the right place for you! If you are just entering this industry, there are Level 2 and 3 qualifications offered to you to start your career; if you are an experienced Early years practitioner you can progress your career further with a Level 5 management course, foundation degree or teaching degree.
